TUFS Polish Language Major Students Sing National Anthem at Polish Embassy Event

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the request of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Japan, a choir consisting of about 30 students majoring in Polish at TUFS sang the national anthems of Japan and Poland at the reception for Poland's National Day (May 3, Constitution Day) held at the Phoenix Room of the Hotel New Otani Tokyo.

The choir was formed at the initiative of Associate Professor Koji MORITA, representative of the Polish language program at TUFS, and under the guidance of Specially Appointed Lecturer Sonia CZAPLEWSKA, the students practiced together, sharing ideas and suggestions. As a result, the choir was able to give a performance that brought out the best in each member, captivating the audience of over 500 people, including many prominent figures from various fields.

In their speeches, H.E. Mr. Pawel MILEWSKI, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Japan and Mr. Hirofumi NAKASONE, Chairman of the Japan-Poland Friendship League in the House of Councilors, expressed their gratitude for the wonderful performance by the Polish language students at TUFS.
